Town Walk

June 1 to September 28

Join the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley from 1 - 2:30pm at Ketchum Town Square every Saturday! We will be walking Shelter dogs around the community. This is a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy some exercise, and meet some amazing Shelter dogs! We look forward to seeing you there!

Hikin' Buddies

June 5 to September 25

Every Wednesday at 9:30 am join the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley at Adam’s Gulch Trailhead for Hikin’ Buddies! Take a Shelter dog for a hike, or hang out and socialize some of the smaller dogs and puppies. It is a great opportunity to meet some of the Shelter's adoptable dogs as well as to learn more about the organization. No appointment is necessary; just bring your family and friends to have a good time with some dogs that would love to meet you!

Wood River Farmers Market

June 11 to October 10

The Wood River Farmers' Markets offer seasonally available and locally grown and raised fruits, vegetables, eggs, sheep, goat, and cow cheeses, organic cuts of beef, chicken and lamb, frsh herbs, plant starts for your garden, Prepared foods including wood fired oven pizzas, street tacos, and chicken and rib BBQ, ready made pasta dinners, wines, pasta sauces, skin care products, rotating artand crafts including jewlery, wood products, photography, pottery, herbal salves, jams and jellies, honey, pies, baked goods including gluten free bakery products, potted plants, hanging baskets, cut flower arrangements, toffees, hand crafted rootbeer and rootbeer floats, hand crafted ice cream, sausages and salami, placemats, banners, handmade clothing, napkins, wooden birdhouses and so much more.
Live music is scheduled weekly, kids activities are available.
Come join in the fun, meet the farmers and artists who sell the homemade and home grown products, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the open air markets.
On Tuesdays in Ketchum from 2-6 from mid-June through mid-October along the 4th Street Heritage Corridor and Thursdays in Hailey from 2-6 from mid-June through mid-October on Main Street next to Sturtevants.

Ketch'em Alive

June 25 to August 20

2012 will be the 13th year of Ketchum’s FREE summer concert series.
The local’s favorite concert series, “Ketch’em Alive,” is returning every Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 pm at the Forrest Service Park in downtown Ketchum. There will be dancing, music, and a funfilled community party. Picnics are encouraged; food and drink will be sold in the park as well. Nationally touring bands will play rock, reggae, world beat, Americana, folk, etc. “Ketch’em Alive” starts June 26th and continues until August 21st.

Crisis Hotline Benefit: Spring Winetasting and Silent Auction

Please join us in support of The Crisis Hotline for a lovely and enchanting evening at The Sawtooth Botanical Garden.
This relaxing and festive evening will feature a stunning silent auction, unique and delicious wines from around the world, as well as gourmet appetizers from your favorite local chefs!
Come and enjoy the enchanting gardens, catch up with good friends, and stroll to the sounds of pianist Michael White, all while supporting a tremendous cause.

Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival

Returning for the second year in a row USA Cycling is featured as the main event of the Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival. A full week of cycling related events including races, rides, competitions, film/photo shootouts, a consumer expo, live music and much more comes to Sun Valley.

WR Animal Shelter's Dog Days of Summer Gala

July 26

The Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley’s annual gala fundraising event will take place on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Trail Creek Pavilion in Sun Valley. The event will feature fabulous live and silent auction items, including a signature painting by local painter Brandis Sarich.
The Shelter is excited to already have several fantastic live auction items lined up for the event, including an amazing African safari and an Arctic adventure to see the polar bear migration.
In it’s 30 years of operation, the Animal Shelter has adopted over 12,000 dogs and cats into loving homes in addition to offering many life-saving programs and services to the community. The Dog Days of Summer annual benefit is the largest single source of income supporting these programs.
