Downhill skiing in Sun Valley is a little like the three bears. There's baby bear–the local Hailey hill Rotarun, with its single lift, relaxed vibe, and fun events often held under the lights (the only place in the Wood River Valley that offers night skiing). Mama bear–Dollar Mountain, which is kid friendly, home to a world class-terrain park and the newly built lodge, and makes it easy for parents to hangout and watch their kids ski and even make some turns of their own now that high speed quads have been installed. Then there's Papa Bear–Bald Mountain, where fall-line skiing still reigns supreme and high-speed carving is a daily staple. Thanks to its consistent pitch, immaculate grooming, and uninterrupted fall lines, chances are you'll go faster than you ever thought you would. So make sure your skis are tuned, your helmet is buckled, and your legs are strong before letting it rip.
